AUSTRALIAN SHEEPDOG NEW OWNERS

JOSEPH HARTNAGLE has been associated with Australian Shepherds his entire lifetime. He gained his early knowledge from working with his parents in their Las Rocosa Kennels, which date back to 1955.

At an early age, Joseph competed in Junior Showmanship classes, later graduating to showing in accredited conformation shows. He grooms his own dogs and has given clinics on various dog-related activities demonstrating his expertise.

Joseph is an approved conformation and showmanship breeder judge for the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA), and is also approved to judge conformation and herding events for the American Kennel Club. He is past president and member of the High Plains Australian Shepherd Club, an affiliate of the ASCA. Joseph spends his time working with and training his own group of Aussies for competition and enjoyment.
