An ardent fishkeeper since the age of eleven, Lance Jepson qualified from the University of Cambridge School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Since that time he has been largely in small animal medicine where he has developed his interest in exotic animal medicine and surgery. He is Honorary Lecturer in Exotic Animal Medicine at the University of Liverpool, where he also holds a referral surgery for exotics. He has lectured nationally and internationally on exotics, especially on his main interests of ornamental fish and reptiles, and has contributed to hobbyist magazines as well as several books.
