When anyone thinks of Skye Terriers the Isle of Skye immediately comes to mind.

Sine Threlfall has been involved with Skye Terriers since her childhood. Her beloved mother and mentor, Mary Macdonald, started Eilean Acheo kennels in 1959 - the only Skye Terrier kennel on the Isle of Skye at that time. Together they bred many nice dogs and started showing extensively, and their Acheo Skyes are now to be found in many countries around the world.

Following the death of her mother in 1976 Sine has maintained an active interest in breeding and showing, soon rising to the top and producing many champions. Her Acheo Skyes won great honour at Crufts 1995: Challenge Certificate (CC) in both sexes and Best of Breed (BOB). Her husband Allan and sons Colin and William have lent her great support.

My loving, long-time Skye friend has made "Skyedom" so worthwhile with her warmth, honesty and wonderful touch of humour. She has generously shared her friendship, wisdom and knowledge, ever ready to help and advise the sincere novice. She has written numerous articles on the breed and conducted a wide correspondence with Skye fanciers all over the world. She is adored for her tireless devotion to Skye Terriers and most highly respected as a breeder and judge in the United Kingdom today.

I truly believe that her book, Skye Terrier, is a great contribution to the Skye world. I know that I shall treasure this lovely book for ever.
